Having won numerous Olympic and World Championship medals, including the 1998 Olympic Gold in the Super G, Picabo is widely recognized as the most iconic figure in US women's skiing history.

Shortly after winning Olympic Gold, Picabo careened off course while racing in Switzerland. She crashed, snapping her left femur and tearing a ligament in her right knee. She was in rehabilitation for two full years following the accident before retiring in front of her hometown crowd at the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002.

Above and beyond Picabo's achievements in her sport, she has worked exceptionally hard to make an impact on children and people of all ages. Founder of Picabo's Street of Dreams Foundation, her mission is to help children achieve their dreams.
